10% of each purchase made will go towards supporting out-of-school children towards mainstream education in Pakistan. The trusted charity we will be sending the donation to is Generating Employment Alternatives for Self-Reliance (GEAR) which is a registered Trust of Pakistan.
Research shows that 25 million children are Out-of-School in Pakistan. Moreover, there are several families in underprivileged areas who are not willing to send their children to school because they don’t consider it as an important element in the future growth of their lives. To bridge this gap, GEAR Trust decided to develop a School Readiness program to develop a mindset of the whole family towards schooling. The idea was to open up single room schools in underprivileged areas, monitoring the progress and facilitating the children to go into the mainstream of education.

GoRead.pk is a socially conscious, nationwide movement dedicated to reading developmentally appropriate stories to children in underprivileged communities. Their goal is to bring about social change through joyful story read-aloud sessions, with an emphasis on Tarbia (character development), Ehsaas (compassion) and Adab (literature). They provide stories are in Urdu and English. Research shows that joyful story read-aloud sessions develop students language skills, contribute to their personal development and play a role in improving children’s future, one story at a time.
